Anniversaries
Based on Harron Ellenson’s experience as head of Boson 200, the City’s celebration of the nation’s Bicentennial, the firm has often been asked to conceptualize and execute corporations’ and non-profit organizations’ anniversary programs. H&A is sensitive to the role anniversaries can play in its clients’ branding initiatives. Just as product launches focus an organization’s efforts on bringing a project to fruition, so, too, can anniversary celebrations. It is another significant tool in the marketing arsenal. These special events can provide an opportunity to honor the past, celebrate a common commitment to longevity, and build capacity for the future.
- An anniversary pulls people together to celebrate.
- An anniversary provides a tool for people to feel they have something in common.
- An anniversary presents an occasion to complete something that one has always wanted to do and creates a deadline for doing so.
- Celebrating an anniversary reminds us of where we have been; that in turn helps us know where we are going.
- In a fast changing world, it’s nice to know there are certain things that can last.
